Quaker Houghton HOUGHTO-SAFE® 620 E

HOUGHTO-SAFE® 620 E is a water-based, synthetic high-performance hydraulic fluid of the HFC type. It reduces risks when operating hydraulic systems in the vicinity of flames, hot surfaces or molten metals.

 
Application:
HOUGHTO-SAFE® 620 E is particularly suitable for hydraulic systems where a balanced combination of flame retardancy and good lubrication is required.
HOUGHTO-SAFE® 620 E has set the global standard for more than 50 years in steel and aluminium production, die casting, glass manufacturing, plastics forming and many other industries with a high fire risk.
 
Advantages:

• Passes the tests according to the ISO20763 standard in a Vickers V104 gear pump. The weight loss is less than 100 mg at 140 bar, whereas many water glycols fail here.
• Passes the ISO4404-1 corrosion protection tests and is suitable for use with steel, copper, brass and anodised aluminium.
• Contains vapour phase corrosion inhibitors to protect tanks and partially filled systems.
• Has a very low tendency to foam. The product meets all the requirements of ISO 6247 to minimise the risk of cavitation and air entrainment.
