Quaker Houghton Aqua-Quench MK

AQUA-QUENCH MK is a water-miscible quenching medium whose concentration-controlled cooling characteristics cover the range between water and oil.

 
Application:
AQUA-QUENCH MK is used on inductive and flame hardening machines as well as in immersion quenching baths. The range of materials that can be quenched in AQUAQUENCH
MK solutions ranges from unalloyed and low-alloy steels to high-alloy steels.
Hardenable aluminium alloys can also be cooled in AQUA-QUENCH MK with low distortion.
The cooling characteristics of AQUA-QUENCH MK solutions can be adapted to the geometry, hardenability, mechanical requirements etc. of the workpieces to be hardened by varying the concentration used.
 
Aqua-Quench MK solutions:

• guarantee uniform, reproducible cooling conditions,
• prevent the formation of vapour pockets and the associated soft spots on the workpiece,
• minimise the risk of warping and cracking,
• do not contain any harmful substances such as nitrite or mineral oil,
• are non-flammable,
• are resistant to microbial infestation,
• work with low foaming,
• protect workpieces and systems against corrosion.
